yupp i hate technology ... why? because one of the reasons i am not able to update my blog is due to my problems with technology ... if i am given the choice, i would live in an island technology-free with my pets & family ... peace & quiet - hopefully :p
anyway, i am doing my master of education - finally ... after much hassle & tassle :p OUM seems to be my choice of university ... due to the fact that the classes are done during the weekends - unlike some other unis ...my work & my dependent on public transport are the main reasons why i need to take ONLY weekend classes ...
wish me luck ...

"Happy Birthday..."
I am hearing those phrase most this month of February than the other 11 months of the year. First it was my birthday on the 19th, followed by my husband's and today on the 27th of February, it is my colleague's (Suguna) birthday. I can feel the aura of festivities and celebration around me, being that this month is also the Chinese New Year's celebration.
So, can we throw our thinking caps and put on our party hats instead??? Nah, not a chance. Work is still work, no celebration or festivals can come in between. But still, having something to celebrate helps to ease the stress of work I guess.
By the way, just in case some of you might be wondering why did I leave the title blank for this post. Well, actually I am helping a student of mine preparing for her IELTS. She is supposed to provide the title after she read the post - as an exercise for her in the Reading section for IELTS.
So that's it folks for this short post; as I wouldn't want to scare her off with a long post for her 1st trial.
All the best for this auspicious time of the year. May all your dreams and wishes come true.
Thank you for all those who wished my husband and I on our birthdays. May God bless us all.

Of diarhoea & UTI
Today is 7th of January here in Malaysia and being a Malaysian, I am truly proud that my country has decided to have this year as Visit Malaysia Year. Yesterday they had a grand ceremony at Titiwangsa to commensurate the event.
That's a celebration for the country but for me, personally - instead of any celebration I was doomed with a severe diarhoea that lasted for three days on the first week of a new year. And if that was not so bad, today I am having this blasted UTI - going to the toilet for so many times that I lost count at the first ten - and it was only morning. I had gobbled down a glass of cranberry juice - hoping that it would help but so far, no sign of that, yet! Gosh - what a beginning of a beautiful new year.
Hopefully, tomorrow would be a better day. Hopefully this is the only hiccup for a beautiful year full of happiness & laughters.
So to all the people out there, Happy New Year and may God bless us all.

A new year - 2007
Today is the 3rd of January 2007 - my first day at work for this year - after a long holiday - since I started my annual leave from the 23rd December up to today :p
I had problem waking up this morning - felt like staying at home but then ... thinking that it is not a good way to start a new year so I managed to force myself to stay awake. But now, at 12.45 pm I realised why I felt so shitty this morning. My colleague at work aka my best friend, Jann just texted me on the phone - telling me that a student of ours had passed away. It was said that the deceased fell from her apartment. Jann is still at the hospital awaiting for the post mortem with the other Students' Affair officers from our university. What a sad thing because I knew the deceased personally. She was one of the brightest girl I have ever taught. She should not have gone this way - too soon, too young, too abrupt - I can barely accept the fact that she is no longer with us.The last time I saw her, she was still the fun & easy going bright girl I knew. I did not know that was the last time I would ever talk to her ... It is a tragedy to lose her so soon.
Syareena, my prayers are with you, Dear. I cherished all the good moments that you have shared with us and may Allah bless you.
Al-fatihah.
